Grammer Post: Those Crazy Commas

Commas can at times be really confusing for me. When writing an essay I want it to be good and use the correct punctuation. How I can achieve this goal is by taking it a sentence at a time. I have been told throughout high school many different ways to use commas in a series, but I have never known which one to believe, making me have an issue with it. I have been told when listing things to not put a comma before the and, and I also have been told just the opposite. The correct way to use the comma is to put it before the and.     I know what you mean. My teachers told me differently too. So I just got with the comma before and.
